The Green River offers a fishing experience
unparalleled by any other river. Floating through majestic red rock
canyons and sight fishing for trout in crystal clear water will leave
you mesmerized. This tailwater below Flaming Gorge Dam provides quality
fishing
year round.
The highlight of spring fishing is the Blue Wing Olive hatch of
March, April and May. Summer excitement includes the Cicadas in
June, the PMD’s in July, with hoppers, ants and beetles being
effective in August. The fall months of September, October and November
are a golden time of the year to enjoy the Green. The Indian Summer
days are memorable with the changing colors in the lower canyon,
the spawning browns and the crowds are gone. Guiding on the Green
River is under Ashley National Forest permit #9102. |
